Painter
I was born into a family of painters: from a young age, I developed a fascination with painting and live drawing. I graduated in Contemporary Art History at the University of Macerata in Italy. I mainly paint human figures transformed by an imaginative and surreal reality.

The Beginning
I started painting this series of Berlin paintings with the Figurehead, a female figure that sailors placed at the bow of the ship to protect them from storms and sea monsters. I painted her because I knew she would defend me from unwanted nocturnal demons.
The Development
I try to blend multiple materials together, such as papier-mâché and plaster, to create textured and living surfaces. When I hold a paintbrush in my hand, I want to lose myself in a dream and converse with souls that are not part of this reality but seem to have descended from a parallel world…

The Solution
Painting relaxes me; it’s like a meditation session. Once I achieve the desired shape, I feel it through a sense of satisfaction, as if I had found the solution to a problem.
