Always in search of new sounds, my musical productions are like sound sculptures where frequencies are shaped with great attention to detail. Special care is given to rhythm, but composition should never be predictable, and the melody must touch deep emotions. Founder and creator of two musical projects, Flat Maze and Elephant Kodex.

Flat Maze

Flat Maze music is a smooth blend betweeen the inspiring jazz harmonizations and the dance rhythms that create a very fresh and unusual combination of sounds, an innovative proposal for dance floors, Festivals and Events. We play a really dynamic live set, where danceable rhythms and plastic atmospheres created by Stefano’s synths and drum machines are joined by energetic and melodic solos played by Uri. We are part of an artistic movement based on the Berlin and Milan Jazz-o-tech record label, which is gaining more and more success in Europe and worldwide with already prestigious releases and participation in important musical events.
We played twice at the jazzREfound festival in Milan for the jazzMI festival (Italy) XJazz IN Berlin and in the most important clubs in Berlin (Berghain, Suicide Circus, Sage).

The title track “Dick Dunker” is a smooth blend betweeen the inspiring jazz harmonizations and the dance rhythms that create a perfect combination of sounds, addicted for radio programmings and dance clubs.
Similarly “Room 111” and “Vollnarkose” are two powerful statements of Flat Maze vision where the harmonies and solos of Uri’s piano fill the abstract spaces created by Stefano’s synths and drum machines.

The opening track emerged from the beach of Los Palomas in Gran Canaria, where the sun and the wind of the dunes inspired Stefano to create the rhythm and bass, while Uri added the melancholic, Latin jazz piano line. The result is a gorgeous track that washes over you like a warm breeze as dancing keys bring real dynamism. ‘Petardo Boy’ featuring Sebastian Studnitsky on trumpet is inspired by an eccentric and explosive character from Berlin. It started with a melancholic riff by Uri before Stefano developed an electronic composition as wild as the personality of Petardo Boy himself. The drifting trumpet up top is romantic and late night, the drums are deep and the mood intimate. Last of all, ‘Golden Cat’ features a scratchy electronic riff inspired by Uri’s cat. It’s a textured centre piece around which pulsing drums, snapping hits and haunting jazz keys all move freely.

ELEPHANT KODEX

Under the new name Elephant Kodex, he released an EP “RAIN CARNIVAL” under the German label Fuchsklang, records which ranked among the top EPs on Beatport. The second EP, titled “PENG”, was released with the Italian label Meliodika Records and was very well received by music critics. ELEPHANT KODEX has a strong live impact, using a distinct visual approach to create a show where the music, with its heavy rhythm and dancefloor vibes, blends with the imagery to create a synesthetic effect of great emotion.
